Mark Barbash is the interim director of the Ohio Department of Development and leads the state’s efforts to retain, attract, and create jobs and grow Ohio’s economy. He is the chairman of the Ohio Steel Council. Prior to being appointed interim state development director, Barbash served as chief economic development officer for the Ohio Department of Development. Before joining the Strickland Administration, Barbash served as director of the Department of Development for the City of Columbus from 2000-2007. Barbash received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. |  | |
