David McCall of Columbus was appointed by the International Executive Board as the District 1 Director in January 1999. He was elected to a full term as District Director in 2001, and re-elected by acclamation in 2005. McCall serves as the Secretary of the USW Constitution Committee and chairs the union's negotiating committees and several other multi-plant bargaining committees. He began his union career with USW Local 6787 at Bethlehem Steel's Burns Harbor Plant. McCall attended the Labor Studies Program at Indiana University-Northwest and graduated from the Harvard University Trade Union Program in Cambridge, Mass. |  | |
