Hojjat Mehri, Ph.D.
Professor, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department Youngstown State University Term Expires: September 17, 2012
As a tenured engineering professor at Youngstown State University, Hojjat Mehri, Ph.D. teaches and advises undergraduate and graduate students on a variety of business and engineering topics. Mehri has served as department chair and Director of the Center for Engineering Research and Technology Transfer at Youngstown State University. Prior to joining YSU, he worked for eight years at Inland Steel Company in Indiana Harbor Works as an Operations Research Analyst, and has done consulting work for numerous Northeastern Ohio and overseas steel and metal fabricating companies. His most recent work is Recent Economic Turnaround in the US Steel Industry: Lessons for Steel Industries in the Persian Gulf region. Mehri holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum and chemical engineering from Abadan Institute of Technology in Abadan, Iran, and a master’s and Ph.D. degree in industrial and systems engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. |  | |
