Member Organizations
The Ohio Steel Council consists of ten major steel companies and the United Steelworkers, in addition to the Ohio House of Representatives, the Ohio Senate, the Ohio Department of Development and two state universities. It was instituted by the Ohio General Assembly in 1990 for the purpose of maintaining a competitive steel industry in Ohio and ensuring the state’s economic well-being.
The Council also has associate members, which represent suppliers and other parties with interests in the Ohio steel industry.
