Financial Analyst/Accountant

Starting salary range: $32,000 – $37,000

Salary range in 10 years: $45,000 – $60,000

Degree/training/certificate required: B.S. in accounting or finance

The market for steel today is complex and international. Business decisions are crucial and dependent on up-to-date complete financial information. A financial analyst in the steel industry is an important member of the company team. In addition to profit-and-loss balance statements, he or she provides analyses of costs and market factors as well as profit projections. A financial analyst must possess accounting expertise as well as strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
